What is the Sports Vouchers program?

The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation and Sport. The program provides an opportunity for primary school aged children from Reception to Year 7 to receive up to a $50 discount on sports membership/registration fees. The purpose is to increase the number of children playing organised sport by reducing cost as a barrier to participate in sport.

Who is eligible for the program?

All South Australian primary school aged children, meaning if the child is attending or is eligible to attend primary school. Remember it is one voucher for every primary school aged child per calendar year.

How do I claim a voucher through SARWC?

Note one form is required per child.

Membership Fees for the 2019 Winter Season

Individual/Family - 1st and 2nd member of a family $55 each, 3rd and subsequent members of family $30 each
Individual/Family (joining after 30th of June) - 1st and 2nd member of a family $30 each, 3rd and subsequent members of family $20 each
Seniors (with seniors card) - $40 each
Associate (non-competing, voting rights) - $15 each
Country (100km outside CBD)  - $15 each
Non-financial (volunteer, no voting rights) - $0 each

Note:  if you would like to try race walking, you are welcome to come to any two events as a 'Come and Try' free of charge. Please make sure you enter the event online as a Come and Try athlete.

For major events such as the Canberra LBG or Nationals, they will be an additional fee.
Reminder that athletes who register with SARWC are also required to register with Athletics SA.
Payment Considerations:
The main focus of the club is to encourage participation, and as such if you feel you would like to be part of the club, and cannot afford the fee upfront please see the Treasurer for payment options.
Refund Policy:
Refunds will only be given under exceptional circumstances. In some cases, membership may be rolled over to following season at the discretion of SAAWC. SAAWC’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
